Youth Work

We will not provide any information in this section that allows any individual child to be identified on the internet. Children will be encouraged to contribute to these pages under supervision of responsible leaders.

Our Parents and Tots Group was set up in the October following the opening of new Guiseley Methodist Church building in March 1986. Starting with a session one Wednesday for 12 local mums the group soon outgrew its Wednesday afternoon slot and expanded to four sessions a week to meet the demand from local parents and children to provide a fun, happy place to meet friends and learn to play with and alongside other children. From those early beginnings Parents and Tots continues to thrive with three sessions a week being available to those with young children to come and spend a morning or afternoon in the company of other young and not so young parents/grandparents.

Junior church meets on a Sunday during the morning service. Our children spend the first part of the service with the wider church family and then go off into their own groups to learn more about Jesus, The Bible and Christianity.

The J.M.A Rainbow is a sign that we are working together to help people around the world who are poor and are not as wealthy and as healthy as us.

J.M.A has thousands of members all over Britain and the United Kingdom who are willing to help all these people who are in need of help and we are hoping that if you are not already a member you will become one.

All you will have to do once you have joined is put a small amount of money into your J.M.A collection box every week or however often you want to. It doesn’t have to be a lot because even if it is just some spare change it still helps.
