Banners

To help focus worship we have a number of banners that are displayed for special church services ~ here we tell you a little bit about how the banners came to be:

Leslie Holmes first had the idea of having banners soon after he had overseen the building of the new church, as our minister at that time.  He suggested that his ‘volunteers’ should go to Pudsey Methodist Church to see their banners, to get some ideas. So we did, and became quite enthusiastic, and from then on we have met from time to time and made banners to celebrate Church festivals and special occasions etc. More banners are being added to the collection from time to time.
