Traidcraft o Traidcraft is a 'Fairtrade' organisation whose aim is to fight poverty through trade.
o Traidcraft helps people in developing countries to transform their lives and works to bring about trade justice.
o Some aims of trade justice are: to prevent exploitation of the poor and to challenge unfair trade practices.
o Traidcraft works to enable people to receive a fair price for the goods they produce, to set up successful trading partnerships and to improve their standard of living. Click on the pictures below to see the stories. Ø Once a month there is a Traidcraft stall at Guiseley Methodist Church. It is usually after the (10.30) morning service.
Ø At the stall you can buy a variety of fairly-traded food and drink products, such as chocolate, muesli, coffee, tea, rice, pasta, etc.
Ø From September each year a wide range of Christmas cards is available for sale or order as well as other Christmas items such as Advent Calendars, Christmas biscuits, etc.
Ø Products can also be ordered from the catalogue, where you will also find clothes, jewellery and gifts.
Ø Sales usually take place on the second Sunday of each month.
Ø To check the date of the next sale or if you wish to borrow a catalogue, please contact Mrs. Jane Dick, 01943 874069
